What happens if I'm not covered?
Some patients do pay out-of-pocket for therapy. Physiotherapy fees paid directly by a patient are tax free and qualify as a medical expense for income tax purposes.
We provide only the therapy you need, and we will empower you to supplement your in-clinic care with a self-managed home care program.
We accept most major credit cards, debit, and cash.
Insured or not, we will work to help make your therapy accessible and affordable.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
Bring your insurance information (if planning to have insurance cover treatment, your doctor's note (if you have one), wear comfortable (loose fitting) clothing, and a big smile.
What happens on my first visit?
You will be thoroughly assessed by a highly trained, licensed physiotherapist. Treatments are to be done on subsequent visits.
What shall I wear?
Comfortable, loose fitting clothing is suggested as specific areas in the body are subject for evaluation and treatment. For instance, if the issue is on you knee then it’s better to wear shorts or loose fitting pants that can be rolled up.
How many treatments do I need?
Number of treatments depends on your condition and the severity of your injury. Everyone responds differently to their type of treatment, but you will know on day 1, before you leave, what is suggested.
Our experienced practitioners have in-depth knowledge of biomechanics, joints’ motion and the overall human anatomy which allows us to successfully treat various pain cases.
We determine the roots of impairment by thorough evaluation and execute the right physio techniques according to your individual needs.
This “circle of care” approach brings together an entire team, with the physiotherapist as the lead or “quarterback” in one clinic, integrating all treatments.
• One-to-one, evidence-based approach to pain relief
• A focus on the root of your pain, not just the symptoms
• We show you how to keep pain from coming back – on your own
• Licensed clinicians who genuinely care about reaching your goals
• Convenient scheduling around work and home obligations
• Access to appointments in under 24 hours (or earlier, in some cases)
We have many "tools in our toolbox" to help fight your pain. We'll match you up with the best therapy options and develop a personalized program that gets results.
Is a doctor's referral necessary?
A doctor’s referral isn't necessary, but in rare cases, our physiotherapist may need you to see your doctor to get further testing done. Note that some extended insurance may require doctor’s referral to get reimbursements for physiotherapy as well.
Maximum Physiotherapy's team provides all our patients with innovative techniques and cutting-edge treatments that decrease recovery time and achieve their personal health goals.

Terrific staff who are always eager to help. I have never been to a physio with such great hours. Sue Underhill starts her day at 7am, which is great for people who work 9-5 jobs. They also offer same day emergency assessments for people who are in extreme pain and need of physio urgently. I would highly recommend Maximum physiotherapy!
I have had several sessions with Sue over the Past few years and have had a great experience every time. She helps you navigate through injury and get to the root cause of your pain.A welcoming and inviting overall clinic experience.
The team at Maximum has been amazing in helping me get back to running after dealing with two separate injuries. Everyone is extremely polite, compassionate, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend the Maximum team to anyone looking for a great Physiotherapy clinic.
